PhotoProofPro : An Online Digital Photography Proofing System (Web-Based Photo Proofs / Contact Sheets)

Update: My apologies to those who have contacted me regarding this project and have not gotten a response. This code has always been maintained by a single person, myself, not some big company. In the past months, my time available to dedicate towards supporting this project, and even responding to your emails, has become increasingly less and less. So rather than offer it to you and not be around when you have a support request, thus making you angry, I have chosen to no longer offer this in it's current form.

The good news is: I have hooked up with some really great developers, and this application is currently undergoing heavy development. A new and improved, shiny, fully supported, version is planned to be released in the upcoming months. Don't hold me to that though, we'll see how it all goes. If you want to receive an update when it is finally released drop me a line. Please don't ask me to send you the code. I won't.

What is it?

PhotoProofPro is a system for photographers to deliver digital proofs to their clients over the Internet. If you’re shooting digital and printing out contact sheets, you need this! You simply create an account for your client, upload the images, and they’re available online, instantly! Each client receives their own username and password, and logs on to an area of your website to view the proofs. Your clients can share this password with anyone they want to help choose their shots.

Manage Your Clients

Keep an up-to-date list of your clients and shoots, add new clients, edit session proofs for existing clients, and much more. Once a client is set up in the system you can edit the clients personal and contact information, set their username and password, and create session folders to store the proofs. As the photographer, you have the ability to rate certain shots, informing the client on which shots you think stand out.

Uploading Images Made Easy

You can upload single jpgs to any of the session folders, or upload an archive file containing multiple jpgs all at once, images are resized and thumbnails are created along with optional black & white versions automatically

Individual Client Pages

Your clients will logon to their proofs from your website with the username and password you provide them. Their customized page lists their thumbnails and has its own set of useful tools to aid in the selection of their shots. The comments module allows viewers to post notes about which shots they prefer. Viewers can also “vote” on the shots to help narrow down the clients decision of which shots to reproduce. The application can also print out the thumbnails for a low resolution, hard copy of the proofs.
